Software Engineer Job Opening in Carlsbad, California - SleepScore Labs is currently looking for a Software Engineer to help contribute to the design, development and testing of our cutting-edge sleep technology platform.
You will work to improve the data-driven engines that enable the best solutions for our users as they seek better sleep. We're looking for the right individual who will bring a passion and enthusiasm to task.
Perform design, coding and delivery per project requirements
Estimate development efforts and plans for assigned activities
Actively participate as a team member in the Scrum / Agile process
Participate in design and code reviews
Create and maintain basic database activities including table creation and SQL stored procedures and scripts
Create, document and perform unit testing for functional and non-functional requirements
Provide support for product deployment as needed Role and Responsibilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS/BA in in engineering, computer science, or related field
Work or knowledge of Scrum or Agile methodologies a plus
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Work collaboratively in a small but diverse, cross-functional team
Strong communication and presentation skills
Take shared ownership of the product and be willing to accept a wide variety of tasks as needed
Positive, self-starter attitude and professional disposition
Strong S.O.L.I.D. Object Oriented Programming principles
Preferred Skills
5+ years of experience of development experience, ideally including some exposure to mobile, web, desktop and database design
At least 2 years of development experience within frameworks
Experience with SQL based database development experience, preferably SQL Server. Familiarity with MS SQL Server and Visual Studio a plus
Experience with APIs and Web Services
Experience with Source Control, Git is preferred
Azure platform experience is a plus
