Principal Software Engineer Job Opening in Livermore, California - POC (Point-Of-Care) Medical Systems is a newly funded start-up located in the Tri- Valley region of the San Francisco Bay Area. We are developing an instrumentation system that will provide fast, inexpensive and accurate diagnostics at the point-of-care. Our goal is serve those with the least access to such resources and provide them and their physicians with necessary information to improve their lives. We are seeking people to join our team.
Currently we are looking for a Principal Software Engineer
Key requirements include:
MS computer science or related field
6+ years of software development experience in a professional capacity
At least 3 years? experience working on Android platform
At least 3 years? experience working in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
At least 3 years web service development experience, preferably with at least 2 years of
At least 3 years? experience with document oriented databases, such as mongo dB
Extensive experience with Android Studio, Eclipse, Subversion (SVN), and Git and working in a collaborative and distributive team environment
Knowledge of common network protocols, including TCP/IP, Bluetooth, and HTTP
Familiar with some of the following:
Express, Mean Stack, WebSocket, Gulp, Grunt, npm
Experience with RESTful Web Services (JSON)/ XML
Experience with Jenkins, Shippable build and test environments
A team player having abilities to solve complex problems and capabilities to troubleshoot and debug issues.
Self-starter who takes initiative and is proactive.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience in a start-up environment desirable
