Accounts Payable Job Opening in Long Island City, New york - Process payments for monthly invoices.
Review non-purchase order related invoices for proper general ledger account coding.
Review PO related invoices for matching to purchase orders and receipts.
Review invoice support for proper documentation and approvals. When necessary, follow up with responsible parties for any missing information.
Review invoices for taxability issues (i.e. sales tax).
Preparing & Filing Sales tax, 940 & 941, Hut, MTA Tax
Entering Payroll
Paying Payroll taxes, sales, tax, etc
Review monthly statements and when necessary follow up on any missing invoices.
Keep track of company events
Work requires at least 3 years of experience in a full-cycle A/P role or
College degree in accounting.
Must have experience with automated accounting systems and MS Excel. Knowledge of basic accounting principal.
Work requires the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple task environments.
Must possess excellent communication skills in order to work effectively Experience
Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outloook
Starbuilder experience is a plus.
Knowledge of GL accounts
