Position Summary
The Channel Sales Manager ? US is responsible for achieving both order and revenue financial performance for their assigned territory by creating and maintaining a healthy Channel Partner eco system. Additionally, the CSM is responsible for the overall make-up of the channel which includes but not limited to: recruitment of new partners and/or modifying existing channel partner territories, cancellation of underperforming channel partners and/or commercial sales field reps, as well as the training and mentoring of channel partner s sales/support resources.
Establish strong business relationships with channel partners. Develop business and marketing plans to insure growth of the partners and the business as a whole. Drive key Interface product & solutions initiatives through the channel while conducting formal business reviews to ensure that the Channel Partners are driving to the same goals as the manufacturer.
Expectations are that the individual will have extensive travel within the geographical territory which will result in face-to-face meetings that will consume 60-75% of their time. These meetings in front of both Channel Partners and End Users will fuel the growth of existing and new accounts by developing and implementing sales action plans while increasing the product and sales skills of our partners to further enable a thriving partner community.
Must be an independent, self-motivated, and goal-oriented individual ? with team player skillset and ability to motivate large team of individuals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accurately forecast territory order and revenue numbers to the sales management team on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
Help identify, develop, and leverage channel-wide promotions and incentives to drive quarterly revenue targets.
Conduct joint end-user sales calls as a method of coaching and training ? working with the Regional Sales Managers and Vertical Sales Managers to coordinate account sales development efforts.
Function as a coach/consultant for business owners and top managers in: sales, marketing, operations, and financial management in order to improve partner s efficiencies and contributions
Be a technical resource to help channel partners with sales calls, partnership developments, and new product assessments.
Daily management and prioritization of channel sales call activities, sales leads, opportunities, and quotes.
CRM (Salesforce preferred), MSOffice, and other office skills a must
Qualifications
Education: Engineering or technical degree from accredited university;
Experience: Five (5) to seven years of progressive sales and business development experience managing technical innovation and developmental sales with customer partnerships. Significant experience in consultative & solutions selling techniques.
