Veterinary Technician/Assistant Job Opening in Saco, Maine - Saco Veterinary Clinic located in Southern Maine is a rapidly growing small animal practice. We are excited to announce a second location in Saco that will be opening mid October 2017!
We are currently seeking full-time experienced certified licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our team of committed veterinary professionals.
We utilize our technicians and assistants to their fullest abilities. As a team member, qualified candidates must have experience and be proficient in the following areas:
Licensed Veterinary Technician:
Exam room appointments, client education, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction and monitoring, intubation, surgical preparation, general and critical patient care, digital radiography (including dental), ultra sound, complete dental prophylaxis procedure, in clinic index laboratory equipment, electronic medical record keeping, and much more.
Veterinary Assistant:
Greeting clients, exam room appointments, client education, scheduling appointments, invoicing services, patient restraint and doctor assistance, technician assistance in radiology as well as surgical preparation, laboratory sample preparation, pharmacy duties, patient care and treatments, electronic medical recordkeeping, and much more.
These are full -time positions that will require some Saturday shifts. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with skills and education.
