Plant HR Manager Job Opening in Carrollton, Georgia - This position reports to the president and will be responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation and administration of all personnel programs for all human resource areas, including employment, compensation and benefits, associate relations, equal employment opportunity, safety, environmental and training programs. They will also be responsible for managing, directing and evaluating the organization?s programs related to recruitment, development and retention of associates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Budget preparation and management
Departmental business planning and implementation
Legal compliance
Manpower planning and management
Recruiting and exit interviews as needed
Originates human resource practices and policies, which will promote a balance program throughout all of the organization?s departments
Advises management personnel in policy and program matters to maintain consistency. Making or recommending appropriate decisions as applicable to policy and the law
Oversees wage and benefit programs ensuring competiveness with other companies and comprehension by associates
Administers pay practices and programs to include performance appraisal system, merit & promotional increases ensuring comprehension by associates
Manage and facilitate all HR related activities and special events
Reports and presentations as requested by executive management
Weekly Manager?s Meeting
Monthly Business Plan Review
Monthly Reports
Yearly Business Plan/Yearly Budget
Reports and presentation as requested by executive management
Other tasks as required by Executive Management
Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) years progressive Human Resources experience. Continuing education in human resources and employment law.
Language Skills
English language ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory, agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that perform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate good computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
