Staff Accountant / Analyst Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - Immediate need for experienced Staff Accountant with interest in moving towards finance to join an exciting Healthcare services company headquartered in Class A office space in Midtown Atlanta. Major duties and responsibilities:
Mergers & Acquisitions:
Sourcing and screening of new acquisition opportunities in line with the company?s acquisition strategy
Due diligence analysis to build cases for acquisitions and to identify issues and concerns
Integrated financial and M&A modeling to drive the decision-making process and post-close budget
Preparing presentation materials for senior executives and the company's Board of Directors
Interacting effectively with internal business segments as well as with legal, financial, tax, and other advisors
Performing all facets of diligence related to target companies, industries, and geographic markets
Building integration and improvement plans for acquired businesses
For select transactions, helping to arrange and secure financing
Organic Growth Strategy:
Become a thought partner to senior business leaders through careful research and analysis
Support creation of content for leadership meetings and the Board of Directors
Support strategy development for new business initiatives
Conduct special projects requiring expert knowledge of multiple departments within the company
Collaborate to define projects and deliver results with cross functional teams (across the company) on key initiatives with increasing oversight of teams as leadership capability is demonstrated
Provide hands-on support, including analytics when necessary, for the operational aspects of ongoing strategic initiatives
Develop processes for monitoring project progress and support execution of key initiatives
related experience:
BA in business, finance or equivalent
Experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development or strategic planning roles
3+ years of professional work experience
Proven track record of "best-in-class" academic and professional history
Prior experience in dental or healthcare is preferred
Clear communicator; makes analysis easy to understand
Strategic thinker; able to think through long and short term implications of decisions
Collaborative approach; able to reach out across the organization at all levels and divisions
Analytical prowess; able to dive into analytics to drive towards business solutions (utilize data/analysis to drive insights and hypotheses about business opportunities)
Strong judgment and decision making; solves difficult problems with effective, practical solutions
Flexible; embraces change and new information to adapt work and behavior
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
