Merchandising Analyst Job Opening in Edison, New jersey - Merchandising Analyst
The Merchandising Analyst is an entry level role reporting to the Merchandising Analyses Manager that supports the Product Line Managers and the Catalog Director and Manager with merchandising data to produce catalogs that are in line with the company?s budgets and strategic plans.
The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative, leads by example and operates effectively. You will be passionate about delivering a customer experience that represents our brand and inspires and engages customer.
Key Responsibilities:
Data entry into Excel Spreadsheets.
Manipulation of Data within Excel Spreadsheets and extrapolation of data from Excel based Databases.
Coordination between the Creative, Merchandising and Inventory departments to enter information into our mainframe system for each new catalog mail date.
Updating of reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to support the business.
Reporting on Business performance and individual catalog performance with key findings to drive the business.
Creation and presentation of reports to Merchandising Team.
Complete projects and special assignments; make independent decisions as appropriate, when handling details and projects that are time sensitive.
Initiate process improvement when applicable.
Traffic and Communicate changes and updates among several departments.
Support Manager and Director of the Analysis Department with ad hoc analyses and projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Retail Merchandising, or Statistics preferred
2+ years of related Professional Experience
Ability to multi task and work at a fast pace
Strong Organizational skills
Strong Oral and Written communication skills
Ability to successfully communicate with all levels of Management.
Word and Excel skills a must
Knowledge of pivot tables and/or Database management plus!
Ability to work well within a team environment
Must have the ability to demonstrate follow-through on all assignments.
Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
