Application Software Engineer for Windows Desktop, Android phone and Embedded Windows platforms for international company designing rugged mobile devices for data collection. Opportunity to develop and work with emerging mobile technologies in beautiful Eugene, Oregon. Collaborative SCRUM team environment.
Experience
Four (4)+ years of relevant software engineering experience with C# and/or Java. Also desired, is experience with C, C++, HTML, and Javascript.
Education
Preferred Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
Advanced degree desired but not required.
Desired skills
Android based system firmware, drivers, widgets, and applications
Xamarin
Embedded Windows (CE, WM, WEHH) development
Web development, JQuery, CSS, JSON, and XML
Windows 10 desktop application development, including WPF and XAML
Knowledge of Visual Studio and Android Studio.
Knowledge of SCRUM processes
Knowledge of source code control, defect tracking, and unit test frameworks.
Object oriented programming and design patterns
Able to read a schematic diagram and use an oscilloscope
Good team skills, including participation in technical review activities
Problem Solving skills and experience with software debugging.
Good communication and documentation skills, including strong written and spoken English
Linux and Open Source knowledge
Significant background designing embedded system and micro controllers: experience on ARM platform
