Tax Analyst Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - DescriptionMyriad is seeking a Tax Analyst to add to our team. The Tax Analyst is responsible for aspects related to the Company?s taxes including accounting, compliance and planning. The position will work with internal business groups and external tax professionals to complete projects, and will report directly to Tax Director.
Assist in timely and accurate completion of the accounting for income taxes (ASC 740 and ASC 718)
Assist with the accurate completion of income tax work papers and returns
Assist in the identification, analysis and implementation of tax planning
Research and document tax technical issues
Assist with the management of 3rd party vendors responsible for critical calculations related to income tax compliance and accounting
Review, analyze and interpret existing tax laws and proposed income tax legislation for the purposes of preparing forecasts of Company?s tax liability
Assist with other various tax filings: sales and use tax, property tax, excise tax, etc.
Requirements
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting
CPA and/or Master?s degree preferred
Strong analytical, project management, and prioritization skills
Experience with income tax provisions preferred
Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach an success in working in a team-based environment
Proficient in MS Excel and other MS products
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
