Sales Person - Oil & Gas Job Opening in Watford City, North dakota - An electrical contracting company located in Western ND is seeking a sales manager to identify and develop new business, focused on electrical contracts with oil & gas and other industrial applications in the Bakken.
We are looking for candidates who ALREADY have established contacts in the oilfield in Western ND. This job is not suited for candidates outside the Western ND oil and gas industry.
The job will involve the following:
- Identify new opportunities in the oil and gas business in Western ND / Eastern MT.
- Establish solid contacts with oil and gas customers to promote our team and services.
- Knowledge and learning of the electrical terms / services in the oilfield to be able to communicate with specific customer department managers / supervisors.
- Maintain the current clients and engaging new sales with existing customers.
- Participate in management meetings to help with placing sales strategy and goals
- Maintain and update sales leads and continuously drive sales efforts with diligence and a sense of urgency
- Potentially, the right candidate would be the leader of business development initiatives including new ventures with possibility of being in a general manager position.
Requirements:
- Solid resume with verifiable sales history and results.
- Passion and initiative, great social and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the basics of sales function and administration.
- Living in Western ND
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
- Willing to take a drug / background test.
Compensation and benefits:
- This job is perfect for a starter / mid career person, who has a great confidence in his / her ability to drive sales.
- Compensation will be in two forms: Basic salary plus generous commission (2-7% of sales).
- A dedicated and driven sales person could make anywhere between 60-100K in the first year, this figure can escalate quickly by adding more business in the following years, reaching north of 150K per year.
- Company offers health insurance reimbursement, per diem, expense reimbursement, and potentially a company vehicle for the sales person.
