Medical Office Manager Job Opening in Brownsville, Texas - GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Manage the overall day-to-day operation of clinics serving a critical role between providers, and the organization?s administrative staff to insure that their needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Perform administrative and financial duties for the organization. Coordinate various operations such as accounts receivable, financial counseling and any other given project. Develop, implement and/or provide oversight to health care data collection and reporting systems to assure the integrity and availability of the information resources needed to support authorized users and decision makers. Develop and manage effective processes and systems to assure the integrity of healthcare data and to preserve the complete, accurate, and legal source of patient data (patient medical records), as well as developing and managing effective processes and systems to preserve patient privacy, confidentiality and the security of health information maintained on paper or computerized systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
_ Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as work processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology._
_ Customer and Personal Service Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction._
_ English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar._
_ Computers and Electronics - Extensive computer skills (MSWord, EXCEL...) computer hardware and software, (Practice Management, Electronic Health Record, and Practice Portal) experience._
_ Managed Care Contract Management _
Knowledge of individual Managed Care Organization protocols.
Knowledge of procedures pertaining to insurance companies, MCO'S Medicare and Medicaid
d Ability to assess problematic areas and apply corrective measures.
Attends monthly Director?s meetings.
Extensive knowledge of personnel administration, training techniques, and modern office practices. Communicate effectively with staff.
Analyze and solve work problems and make decisions affecting financial and human resource matters.
Prepare comprehensive reports.
Good organization skills.
Basic knowledge of generally accepted Purchasing Practices.
Knowledge of cost comparison.
13 Communicate effectively with vendors and sales representatives.
Design, coordinate and implement supervisory and staff training program.
Prepare monthly statistical reports as directed by Director of Business Services.
Assist Director of Business Services with other as may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
3 years experience.

Order Medical & Office Supplies Weekly
Maintain Inventory (incoming & outgoing)
Distribute Supplies, as needed, to off-sites
Patient Services: Los Ebanos & Lakeview Sites
Alarms : Los Ebanos & Lakeview Sites
Privacy :
Scheduling:
Maintain Permanent Office Schedule & Parameters
Maintain Office Schedule
Obtain Approval from CEO and/or COO on provider Request for Leave
Make necessary Parameter Changes and Schedule Changes in PMS Intergy
Distribute schedules, via e-mail to all providers and staff
Telephone Operators :
Training of telephone operators with Policy & Procedures
Health Fairs / Public :
Attend Health Fairs and Promotions
Schedule appointments with Drug Representatives
Guarantor Collections Module :
Category 5 120 (+) days
LV & LE Office:
Evaluate staff as requested by Human Resources
Approve Leave of Absence requests
Schedule and Conduct Interviews for new hires
