Community Health EMT-B Job Opening in Forney, Texas - All positions will be assigned to our Healthcare Navigation Command Center in Forney, Texas. Our Community Health EMT & Paramedics will serve as Physician Extenders to our Managed Care Patient Populations. Full Time and Part Time Positions Available.
Hours are varied working approximately 40 - 50 hours per week on a rotating schedule consisting of 8, 10, 12 or 14 hours shifts, with some on-call duty required.
Duties Include:
*Communicates by telephone with patients, caregivers, family members and other clinicians to facilitate a positive patient outcome in the out-of-hospital environment.
*Utilizes protocols, algorithms, sound clinical judgment and adjunctive resources (including other clinicians) to resolve needs successfully via both in-bound and out-bound telephone calls.
*Intervenes properly in urgent and emergent situations to ensure the best possible care for the patient.
*Properly records all interactions using the provided platforms and software tools in a timely and efficient manner.
*Provides exemplary customer service and displays professionalism during all under psychologically taxing conditions to include high-stress situations.
*Ability to think outside the box and solve patient / customer service issues in non-traditional healthcare model.
*Performs other duties as assigned to include general housekeeping chores and special projects.
