Staff Accountant Job Opening in Arlington, Virginia - Our Client, a top private equity firm is seeking a Staff Accountant with at least 1-3 years experience. The perfect candidate must have a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a business related field, and have experience with ERP systems.
Key
Record and identify transactions in the general ledger
Assist with month end/quarter end recording and reconciliation
Assist the team with year end investment reconciliation
Preparation of general journal entries
Preparation of system generated and manual wire transfers
Record monthly accruals for expenses, interest income, and other items
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and reporting packages
Monitor cash on a daily basis and record entries
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Calculate and prepare distributions
Prepare Financial Statements for Co Investments
Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 0-3 years of relevant accounting experience in either industry (preferred) or public accounting, required
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics degree required
GPA of 3.0 or above, required
Strong Microsoft Office skills - (advanced Excel)
Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft or another ERP system preferred
Team oriented, strong analytic skills, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
High level of attention to detail and organization
CPA (preferred)
