Sport Sales Representative (HS Sports Magazine) Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - Gamebreaker, the HS Sports Magazine, is expanding to 20 cities across the United States. Originally, the very popular Columbus, Ohio based "Varsity Magazine," changed its name to Gamebreaker just this month, as it will expand all over the nation. Starting October 2017, Gamebreaker will be printed for each of the 21 cities, and placed inside 60+ HS in each city for free.
Gamebreaker is coming to Denver in October and we need Sports Sales Representatives ("Sales Reps"), to help setup the market before our arrival in October:
Salary - After 90 days. The Reps we keep will move to salary, flex time off and benefits. For the first 90 days however, to prove to us your dedication, this will be comm. only as we need to see who is going to stick it out. The Reps will be paid 20% comm., so on average, reps make $500 per ad closed. That is what our reps in Columbus have been regularly making within their first 90 days of employment. NOTE - You can do this as a second job as our minimum Sales requirements are very easy and obtainable.
Job Description. Starting in October 2017, Gamebreaker will produce 10 consecutive monthly editions per city (each of our 21 expansion cities). These 10 monthly editions go into the high schools and are placed at stores around the city. In these editions, we sell our full page color advertising at $250/edition paid annually - roughly $2,500 a year from our clients. We need 5 reps to sell that advertising to the clients, cold. These accounts will not be setup for you. You will need to think creatively on who you want to approach to buy Gamebreaker advertising.
Job Expectation. At a base minimum, we want each Rep to get 2 closed full page ads at $2,500 each, within 60 days of employment . As stated above, each closed ad will bring you a $500 commission (20%) and you will be eligible for potential bonuses.
Gamebreaker does a wonderful job creating a unique market of sports reporting for High Schools and their wide selection of athletes. We are not a "recap" magazine. We try to capture the whole story of the athlete (what motivates and drives them to become the best, what their futures hold, etc.). We take all that content and put it together with about 15 advertisements. Once complete, we take the finished product and its placed inside roughly 60 high schools and 200 drop points in the city. That's it.
