Field Representative - Substance Abuse and Mental Health Job Opening in Los Angeles, California - Job Description:
Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, the Field Representative provides
presentations and distribution of marketing materials promoting the Sovereign Health Group?s
treatment programs and services to treatment centers, medical offices and other health care
professionals. The Field Representative will establish relationships with potential referral sources,
open doors and increase brand awareness through effective interaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Builds effective business relationships with health care professionals and partners.
2. Provides presentations and awareness of Sovereign?s services to referral sources, case
managers, social workers, treatment centers, therapists and other behavioral healthcare
contacts.
3. Follows up on leads and potential clients referred either directly or from referral sources.
4. Liaises with healthcare professionals via cold calls and/or face to face on a weekly basis.
5. Monitors developments throughout the industry and identifies gaps in the market.
6. Markets Sovereign?s ?what makes us different? approach to external referral sources.
7. Maintains detailed records of all contacts and meetings and completes daily reports.
8. Adheres to the Sovereign Health Group?s Policies and Procedures.
9. Maintains a polished and professional appearance at all times whilst representing the
Sovereign Health Group in the field.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
This is an entry level position and is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate. The
candidate should be motivated and professional with excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. They should possess good judgement, organizational and presentation skills. Experience
and knowledge in the treatment industry a plus, as is the ability to work with minimal supervision
and as part of a team. The candidate should also possess good time management planning and
IT skills.
Skills and Competency:
The successful candidate will possess the ability to listen actively when spoken to and effectively
communicate their thoughts to others. They will be sensitive to religious, ethnic and cultural
differences in others and show respect and empathy. Able to work alone but also as a team, with
fellow staff, in the business setting, they will actively seek out advice and/or guidance in order to
solve problems. The successful candidate will have good time management skills and will actively
seek to accomplish tasks and be able to use a variety of methods and ideas to solve problems
whilst also being open to suggestions from others in order to find solutions.
