Business Development Sales Representative Job Opening in Franklin Park, Illinois - Base Pay plus Bonus-there are NO commissions
Seeking a motivated ROCK STAR sales person for a small manufacturing client. The right person will have skills in Business Development, Customer Service & Marketing. We need someone who is fantastic at researching prospects & building & maintaining relationships with distributors in a given territory. There is not a lot of face to face calls, most of the work is done via email and on the phone. You will need to attend 2-3 trade shows a year to this brand. These shows are sometimes on the weekend. There are great selling points! You simply need to be able to communicate them well. Your primary focus is year over year growth, & LOTS OF COLD CALLS . Your primary responsibilities will be to introduce the product line to companies that will put our products into their catalog. This could take 1-2 years to build the relationship. You will be trained on product knowledge and value proposition required for handling customer issues related to product performance, value add options and services, and aesthetic quality for returned goods authorizations. You will manage pipeline and open opportunities in Customer Resource Management (CRM). Prepare overview details for monthly management reporting, which includes won/loss analytics and cold call statistics. Prepare and present quotes to prospective customers or updates to sales contracts for orders won. Analyze the financial capacity of each customer, establishing program attributes that support their sales activities and credit worthiness. Maintain the integrity of the data in CRM for all customer interactions and market intelligence. Promote the growth and management of the General Services Advantage (GSA) activities Travel (as needed) to support trade shows and exhibitions, customer sales training, or to build new relationships with dealers and distributors. Roughly 5% to 10% of the time. Produce reports to Management regarding sales trends, rebates, and customer feedback. Maintain customer records in Business System (ERP and CRM) Serve as a backup for daily invoicing. Support Accounting in the collection of past due accounts Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information. Requirements At least 3 solid years experience in sales. Experience with CRM applications  Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to build presentations and spreadsheets for analysis and project time lines, and correspondence to the customer base
