Customer Service & Accounts Executive Job Opening in Greenwich, Connecticut - /CUSTOMER SERVICE ACCOUNT ROLE at a Luxury Home Goods E-tailer in Greenwich, CT
We are a small core team working in Greenwich.
-Seeking college graduate with experience working in an online/catalog/or in-store retail environment with a background in customer service. Experience working with home goods or an interest in interior design is a plus. Must have a attitude. Candidate must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Professional telephone presence and pleasant customer service attitude is required. Sales experience and comfort level with converting phone inquiries to sales is key. **Must be sales oriented and able to keep customers happy ****Must speak English as primary language and possess exceptional written and grammar skills with perfect spelling in written correspondence**
-Candidate must be very technically savvy and familiar with the online working environment
- Familiarity with Apple computer software programs and applications is necessary
-Experience with Magento e-commerce platform will be a big plus (but not required)-Familiarity with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
-Knowledge of current online home goods space, brands and shopping destinations
-Proficient with Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements or similar graphic design programs for basic image editing
-Mastery of writing, grammar and proof reading is mandatory-- considerable writing both with customers and for website work is required.
-Must be a team player and able to follow management directives seamlessly with a can-do attitude. Must work well with others.
Day to Day Role
-Responsible for Customer Service on the telephone and via email for our retail website. Must be incredibly organized and see customer requests, issues and sales through from start to finish.-Assisting with managing inventory, pricing items on website and general account work and management. This includes adding new products, updating existing products, managing website inventory, keeping product listings current.
-Assisting with packing/shipping out merchandise sold online or via phone orders.
-Candidate will be day-to-day liason between company President , customers and vendors.
-Candidate will take orders, assist with back end credit card processing and be responsible for order fulfillment from beginning to end and order tracking, motor freight shipping and logistics.
-Candidate will be in daily contact with vendors to ensure order fulfillment
-Candidate will supply company President with bi-monthly competitive price analysis or accounts.
-In addition to maintaining products on our retail site, candidate would maintain select subsets of products on and and work with other third-party selling platforms and websites.
-Will assist with our trade program, approving members and tracking members contact info-Graphic design savy candidates are a plus. Some social media work done depending on experience is a possibility. Marketing and PR is tied in with this job is depending on prior experience. Ideally, candidate can help with company newsletters.
-Must be willing to pitch in with team and keep office space and desk organized and tidy.
HOURS
Regular hours would usually be Monday through Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM with a break for lunch or 8:30 to 5PM.
SALARY
Starting base salary is $43,000 plus a $2500 healthcare stipend ($45,500) plus the opportunity to earn a year end bonus based on performance
