We are looking for bright software engineers to join us in developing artificial intelligence systems which understand the meaning of English and foreign language text. Successful candidates will work with an award-winning team of researchers and engineers to improve existing products as well as develop brand new technologies.
Requirements:
Strong software development skills
Working knowledge of Java and Linux or an interest to learn
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident
Desirable Qualities:
Experience with JavaScript, especially React and Bootstrap
Experience with traditional (SQL) databases and/or non-traditional databases and "big data" processing (e.g., NoSQL, Lucene, Hadoop)
Other Qualities of Interest:
Previous exposure to Natural language processing (NLP), linguistics, artificial intelligence (AI), and/or speech processing experience
Experience with machine-learning or data-mining technologies and techniques
Strong math and statistics skills
Industry R&D experience
Other programming languages: C/C++, Python, Scala, Clojure, Matlab/Octave
Source code management (e.g. SVN, Git, Mercurial, Bazaar)
Web application experience
Experience with multi-threaded / distributed applications
Understanding of design concerns such as abstraction, modularization, coupling, and maintainability
Talent for writing time- and memory-sensitive code
