As a Robotics Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of autonomous navigation and operation capabilities (localization, path and motion planning, recovery behaviors, user interaction, etc.)
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
Designing and Improving back-end architecture, robot-database communication, and user interface of web data dashboard.
Following are examples of software development tasks: the communication between the robots and our back-end server, visualization of important data and key metrics, and the improvement of our continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
Working with industry partners to develop analytics-driven tools.
Turning raw data collected by robots into actionable information.
Unit testing, version control (git), documentation.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
This is a Robotics Software Engineer position and requires someone who has worked on C++, Linux & Robot Operating System (ROS). The ideal Robotics Software Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
At least 2 years of C++ development experience.
Substantial experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS).
Extensive practical experience with robotics, especially mobile robot navigation.
Training and / or experience in software engineering and related activities (version control, unit, integration, acceptance tests, etc.)
Experience working and developing in a Linux environment.
