Casework is integral to the representational duties of a Senator. This position acts as a liaison to federal, district, and local agencies for the Senator and constituents. Caseworkers help to resolve problems presented by constituents related to federal agencies. This position should be able to communicate clearly with constituents about what can and cannot be done on their behalf, learn the laws and regulations affecting a constituent?s case, build relationships with federal agency personnel, and serve as a neutral facilitator between the constituent and agency.
EXPERIENCE
Ideal candidate will enjoy problem solving, have customer service experience, and be comfortable delivering positive and negative responses to constituents. Candidate?s background need not be in Congressional work.
Compensation is commensurate with experience; eligibility for healthcare, supplemental dental/vision, retirement and paid annual/sick leave.
