Administrative Professional Certificate or some college preferred
3 to 5 years Human Resources experience
A high degree of accuracy and speed for data entry and validation including extensive computer application and keyboard skills
Computer software knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft Office preferred
Willingness to learn new system applications
Self motivated with ability to work independently yet be part of a team effort to achieve department goals
Strong communication skills: written, verbal and listening
Good math skills

Position Summary
The Human Resources Representative to the Human Resources Department provides support HR function at Eagle Butte and Belle Ayr mines by performing administrative tasks such as filing, gathering, maintaining, and reporting of data, EPPD and self-service entry. The HR Representative is the main point of contact for personnel files, benefit changes, daily record keeping and special projects as requested.
Essential Functions
Able to meet the essential functions of the position according to the physical demands analysis
Provide confidentiality in daily administrative support for the Manager of Human Resources
Provide telephone support and relay messages
Provide records management by maintaining hard copy files, electronic files, and archives and maintain accurate and up to date computer programs/records used by HR personnel
Process team meeting notes and assist in meeting preparation including agendas, scheduling
Track hourly technician performance reviews and process promotion packets; ensure accurate and timely preparation of all forms required for promotion increases
Provide administrative support to HR department personnel as needed including safety programs administration
Provide courteous prompt and accurate responses to employees, supervisors and managers? questions
Assist with the hiring process such as interview scheduling, set-up of new hire physicals and background checks, new hire benefits orientation, and new hire forms distribution and collection
Participate in teams as needed
Provide accurate and up to date information for personnel records located at the mine, adhering to State and Federal law and confidentiality issues in all areas
Maintain employee logs and assist with development of AAP
Maintain employee discipline logs and provide reminders to supervisors on status
Maintain immediate recognition awards program records, and provide reports to accounting
Maintain the Human Resources information system (Ultipro)
Compile information and statistics for monthly reports, providing data for departments as requested
Special projects and other assignments as requested
Regular and predictable attendance
