Sr. Trade Settlement Specialist Job Opening in Naperville, Illinois - Summary:
Support trading activity through settlement, clearing and booking to our Portfolio Accounting System. You will interact with traders, peers, custodians and our trading partners to ensure that issues are resolved as quickly as possible and that trades settle and clear within required timeframes. Product range includes both domestic and foreign, Equities, Fixed Income, TBA, MBS, CDS, Options and Futures. Processes completed by the team include option expiration / exercise / assignment processing and position and money movements, TriOptima, UnaVista and EMIR reporting, FX roll, as well other tasks support or customers and traders as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure trades are booked and confirmed correctly and tie out with the Counterparty verses internal and external systems through liaising with Trading, Brokers or the Counterparty, custodians.
Function as an Intermediary between the Trading desk and other areas such as custodians, trading partners and internal/external Compliance areas to resolve issues and ensure breaks are resolved effectively and settled timely.
Research any account discrepancies from internal or external clients related to above duties timely and accurately.
Maintain and support activities related to trading and trade settlement, example: maintain contacts and updated Settlement instructions for all accounts/custodians, establish new broker accounts in CRD as requested by Trading, assist in completing Broker KYC requests.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree required. Possession of Series 99 licenses, or the ability to obtain license within three months of hire, required.
Minimum of five years of professional experience in a trade support role required; previous Fixed Income experience required. TBA, MBS, CDS, bank loans, Factored securities, Listed Options, Foreign and Domestic Equities, Futures.
Experience with Omgeo Products (Oasys, CTM, and Alert), CRD, Eagle, TriOptima, UnaVista, CME EMIR reporting, Custodian Websites, FXAll, and Bloomberg.
Understanding of processing FX (Spot/Forward) and FX Roll.
Familiarity with EMIR / Dodd Frank / MiFiD Reporting requirements.
Individual needs to be performance-driven and proactive with the ability to take on challenges set and execute agendas. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, and to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively and confidently across all levels of the firm.
Strong, demonstrated experience with Excel required.
