Medical Assistant Job Opening in Salem, Oregon - Employment type: part-time (Tuesday 8:30-5:30, Thursday 12:30-6:30 Friday 8:30-5:30)
We are a busy Aesthetic Medical Practice in Salem looking for the right individual to assist our Medical Director with treatments & general tasks as needed. Experience in the salon/spa industry is helpful. Medical is mandatory. Preference may be given to individuals with prior experience working in a environment. Treatments provided include: Botox & various dermal fillers, injections, body sculpting, face and skin treatments, etc.
DUTIES:
-Learn about and study treatments & products offered at our practice. Answer questions and offer additional treatment options to Clients
-Greet Clients & ensure necessary paperwork is in order as per medical protocol -Take Clinical before and after photo's
-Escort Clients to treatment rooms and ensure optimal physical and emotional comfort at all times (offering blankets, water, tea or coffee, reading materials, etc.)
-Prepare Clients for treatments to be administered by Provider(s), such as cleansing skin, applying numbing creams, lotions and pretreatment products, providing garment changes, etc.
-Assist Medical Director during medical treatments, injections and procedures by taking notes, retrieving products, devices & tools, performing hands on assistance as deemed appropriate in order to collaborate efficient and comfortable procedures for each Client
-Clean, sanitize and prepare treatment rooms after each visit as per protocol
-Stock treatment rooms to ensure appropriate product inventory is readily available for daily treatments, linen stocking, refill medical supplies etc.
-Ensure Providers are staying on schedule & offer input on scheduling -Assist Medical Director at the end of the day with charting, counting inventory, general organization, etc.

-Constant alertness & ability to anticipate & resolve issues
-Ability to listen and understand the needs of others without passing judgment or interjecting personal opinions
-Ability to interact comfortably with many different personality types
-Ability to calm nervous Clients and put people at ease
-A friendly, diplomatic demeanor and ability to handle difficult situations with ease
-Ability to assess Clients needs and wants & report finding discreetly to Medical Director prior to each encounter
-Use tact and diplomacy at all times
