Project Sales Assistant Job Opening in lexington, Kentucky - Project Sales Assistant We are accepting applications for a strong Sales Assistant to work with a local Fortune 500 company in Lexington, Kentucky. As a member of the Bid/spec team, the project consultant will oversee and coordinate aspects of multiple, bidding and future projects. The project consultant will be responsible for maintaining all documentation associated with those projects. The project consultant will provide and oversee all specifications, recommendations and bidding of all projects in their assigned territory. Essential functions of the position: -Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions and recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications. -Generate new and repeat sales by providing product specification and recommendations in an efficient and effective manner to architects, engineers and contractors -Work closely with to provide quotes for all bidding projects. -Follow up with all to ensure that we procure the job. -Accurately process customer transactions such as quotes, CAD details, submittals and orders. -Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product specification and end-user satisfaction. -Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and follow up to ensure project is proceeding as planned. -Setup and maintain all bidding and future project files (i.e. specifications, submittals, drawings, quotes, contracts, orders, etc.) -Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction. -Develop ways in order to capitalize on satisfaction and eliminate dissatisfaction -Manage time effectively, meet personal goals of follow up and close percentage. -Perform other duties as assigned. : -Bachelor Degree in a Business-related field, Construction Management, engineering or other technical field. -Minimum of 5 years prior experience in managing a high volume, high frequency project driven business, with experience in contractor negotiations. -Windows 2000, Office 2000, Outlook, and Project 2007, One Note is required. -Knowledge of management techniques and processes necessary to manage direct reports. -High degree of organizational skills. -Focused and polished customer service skills. -Strong written and oral communication skills. -Excellent problem solving skills.
