TITLE: Development Coordinator [Status: F/T 7:30 AM ? 4:00 PM] POSITION DESCRIPTION: ? Help coordinate fundraising activities, such as grant research and securing in-kind and cash donations. ? Work with volunteer committees to establish operating procedures. ? Work with Webmaster and Executive Director to update website to be more user-friendly, especially for blind and visually impaired users. ? Produce a monthly and a bi-monthly e-newsletter to volunteers and donors. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Strong organizational skills. ? Highly motivated. ? Able to multi-task in busy office. ? Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially grammar skills. ? Able to work with staff and a large pool of volunteers. ? Computer skills: good typing skills, proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Experience with HTML and website development preferred but not required. ? Good telephone etiquette. Comfortable speaking with donors. (No cold calling required.) ? Able to empathize with blind & print-disabled persons who need help to access printed materials. ? Bachelor?s degree.
