Regional Sales Manager Job Opening in Armonk, New york - The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for all aspects of his or her sales team in the designated markets assigned. The ideal candidate is highly engaged in his or her business as well as results oriented and driven by success. Maintaining a positive outlook and attitude at all times while adapting to change in a highly competitive environment is critical for success in this position and within our organization. RSM?s lead by example with high energy and are experienced sales leaders who work diligently not only to develop current sales teams but also construct a highly skilled team of professional salespeople designed to deliver profitable revenues which enable future growth for the business.

Essential Job Duties:
Strategically and continually build a professional sales team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Consistently achieves sales objectives by preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality measures and customer-service standards; resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining regional sales system improvements and implementing positive change.
Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions when needed.
Establishes sales objectives (team & individual team member) by creating a sales plan and quota for designated territory and team members within his or her region.
Maintains and expands customer base by counseling sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities and executing against those opportunities.
Constantly champion preferred product lines by identifying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Implements trade promotions
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements
A focused hunger to improve each day and constantly build towards a positive future vision
Proven ability to team build and lead a group of sales professionals. Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role is preferable, particularly in the foodservice industry
Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
Familiarity with CRM software and ability to introduce this concept to unfamiliar parties
General understanding of foodservice operations (both front and back of house), drivers and trends within each segment of the foodservice industry
Ability to lead and motivate a high performing sales team focused on the tasks at hand
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to tailor communication style to particular audiences when needed to achieve maximum results
Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
Availability to travel as needed with the vast majority being day travel within set region
BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration , Management or relevant field
