Usability Engineer Job Opening in Jackson, Mississippi - Job Summary:
The Usability Engineer supports strategic and business objectives through well-designed user interfaces, interactions, and designs and supports optimal user experiences for all applicable web and mobile applications and systems. The incumbent conducts internal and independent research in addition to observing, analyzing, and documenting real user (internal and external) behaviors and reactions to new or existing systems to propose solutions.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor?s degree in Industrial Engineering, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience in related field.
At least 3 years of experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing product and process usability studies.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle methodologies and software development standards.
Must work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong observational, analysis, documentation, and tracking skills are required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Access, Word, Excel and Visio is required.
Working knowledge of CSS, HMTL, Ajax, JavaScript, etc. is preferred.
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is required.
Experience evaluating mobile applications, mobile web sites, or small screen applications is preferred.
