The sales associate provides customer service, sales and product expertise to consumers and contractors for their projects.
Responsibilities
Engage customers and qualify their needs
Provide excellent customer service
Product knowledge
Product recommendations
Communicate information to personnel and customers about new products
Create sales events and promotions
Product demos
Operate POS system, and other equipment used in inventory control, pricing, ordering, and other store activities.
Safely and legally operate all loading and unloading equipment, pallet jack, key, glass, and shade cutting machines.
Service tickets, sales orders, U-haul
Requirements
Ability to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends
Communicate competently with customers and contractors
Move merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds safely between warehouse and sales floor
Place and/or display merchandise
Restock merchandise displays
Answer pages and phone calls to assist customers and coworkers
Other projects as assigned
