National Sales Manager Job Opening in Naugatuck, Connecticut - Magnetrol International is a highly regarded, privately held, manufacturing company based in the western suburbs of Chicago. This open position is with our Connecticut subsidiary, Solutions with Innovation (SWI).
Position Information
The National Sales Manager, (NSM) will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the company and will report directly to the General Manager of SWI. A successful candidate would be self-directed, responsive to customer?s needs, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. The position typically requires travel in excess of 50% of the time.
Specifically, this position will plan and develop specific business plans for the top accounts and act as the primary liaison to the factory between distribution and these key customers. Additionally this position will drive business development efforts to secure new customers and business. This role will also interact with and direct the activities of the inside sales team.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Meet or exceed the sales goals.
Maximize the sales and distribution channel to achieve company goals.
Serve as a product and application expert with regard to SWI products.
Understand the impact of competitor strategies in the territory.
Develop and maintain territory expense budget.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in the service, marketing or sales of process instrumentation. A degree is required, preferably in Business or Engineering. A willingness to travel is essential.
The successful candidate must be an effective problem solver who is committed to excellence and integrity. Demonstrated success in for creating and maintaining a positive, productive workplace is critical. The position requires the utmost in honesty, confidentiality and professional demeanor. Organization, planning, execution, and follow-up skills are important. Energy and enthusiasm are essential. The National Sales Manager is primarily responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the sales targets. Further, the NSM acts as "the SWI presence" in a variety of customer situations and must exhibit a high degree of credibility and professionalism.
