Construction Project Accountant Job Opening in Long Island City, New york - High-end interior residential general contractor is a Construction Project Accountant to join our team.
Previous construction experience highly desired with experience in general contracting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting or similar trade a plus.
Assist with all day-to-day operations of the accounting department including but not limited to:
A/P management
A/R management
Work closely with company management
Prepare bank deposits and monthly bank reconciliation
Coding invoices
Prepare check requests for payment
Month-end close and payroll journal entries
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Balance sheet and income statement experience
Assist with payroll through ADP Workforce Now
Assist Project Managers with project billing and reconciliation and budgets
Desired Skills and Experience:
Preference to previous experience in construction or Architecture
AIA, change order, sub-contractor agreements familiarity a must
Sage/Timberline/MAS 90 a plus
Experience in small business
Knowledge of Quickbooks
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Experience in managing multiple financial accounts and systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
