We are looking for mid to senior level Software Engineers to extend our critical mission programs.
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement software using object-oriented programming with a focus on building RESTful services to support the User Interface (UI), the middle tier, as well as implementing support for SQL/No SQL persistence layers.
Work with Systems Engineers and Developers to develop detail designs and translate and decompose requirements to a web based architecture.
Work both independently and in an Agile team environment.
Design software tools and sub-systems to support software reuse and domain analysis and manage their implementation.
Assist in the development of methodologies and techniques that will be used by other developers to solve specific problems.
Assist in the development of coding standards and participate in code reviews and code walk through.
Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues.
Analyze and study complex system requirements.
Qualifications:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Java development skills (within the last 3 years) using Spring and Hibernate or REST services.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with SQL database development skills (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, etc.) within the last 5 years.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience working as a full time Software Developer on a large team, developing complex applications with large customer bases.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience in web development, such as JavaScript or JSON.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with IDE (e.g. Eclipse, or NetBeans) within the last 5 years.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing within an Agile environment.
DESIRED SKILLS
Demonstrated on-the-job experience working with Big Data technologies and/or Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools and techniques.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloud Formation, etc.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with code delivery mechanisms, such as Maven or Ant.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with code repositories, such as Subversion or Git.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with continuous delivery solutions, such as Hudson, Jenkins, or Puppet.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with SOLR.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Cassandra.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing web UIs using Angular.
