C# .Net Developer Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - General Description
The Software Development role at Accruit includes the following: define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications in an Agile environment. The role also requires researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
Specific Responsibilities:
Assists in the definition, development, and documentation of software?s business requirements, objectives, deliverable, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
Assists in defining sprint plans by accurately identifying and estimating tasks related to the sprint backlog
Consistently writes, translates, and codes software programs and applications according to specifications
Writes programming scripts to enhance the functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary
Designs, runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
Develops detailed design documents where appropriate
Collaborates with other staff in the conceptualization and development of new software programs and applications
Liaises with network administrators, business systems analysts and management to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems
Develops and maintains user manuals, guidelines and documentation to support vendor assessments
Trains end users to operate new or modified programs
Conducts research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements and upgrades
requirements
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field is preferred
3-5 years? experience in an E-business/Web environment
Minimum 4 years software development experience
Comfortable and knowledgeable working in an Agile SW environment using standard SDLC approach
Extensive knowledge of current Internet technologies, including ASP, 3.5 +, XML, SQL, Web services, API creation, C#, SQL, Reporting, MVC, Entity Framework, GIT, Visual Studio, and Azure
Excellent understanding of coding methods, version control and change management best practices
Design, develop and deploy software with security in mind
Extensive relational database experience, along with knowledge of data cubes and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Proficient with any version of SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014, 2016 etc.)
Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams
Flexible and adaptable; willing to learn and understand new technologies
Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
Highly self-motivated and directed
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet project deadlines
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with both internal and external staff
