Business Analyst Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Primary Responsibilities:
Elicit, Analyze, and Define Software Product Requirements
Document and Communicate market and business problems and needs to applicable stakeholders
Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements for moderately complex problems
Identify and define technical product requirements that align to product strategy for moderately complex problems
Ensure requirements traceability to product capabilities
Create Context Diagrams, Functional Decomposition Documents
Define non-functional technical requirements
Perform technical requirements function within an Agile Methodology
Apply technical standards to technical product requirements
Partners with and provides requirements to Architecture, and Software Engineer teams
Works closely with Portfolio Product Manager to represent capabilities and features at team level
Maintain Technical Product Backlog based on customer feedback, market changes and business priority as communicated by the Product Manager
Actively participates in Product Backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, defect management and project teams release planning sessions
Define and manage internal and external technical product constraints
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
6 years software requirements experience
4 years of experience within the healthcare industry
1 years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Systems Analyst / Business Analyst experience
Self-starter who understands how to effectively deal with ambiguity and changing priorities
Persistently pursue information and overcome roadblocks
Experience defining technical product requirements in an ambiguous setting
Strong analytical skills; including the ability to interpret customer needs into application and operational requirements via user stories and acceptance criteria
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to colleagues, clients and management
Attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to manage tight deadlines, self-directed, highly motivated
IT background with business experience
Mentored or managed team members in the past
Experience preparing for, and leading, iteration planning meetings
Competency in prioritization based on business needs
