Client Executive - to manage large hospital HIT Job Opening in Gaithersburg, Maryland - Client Executive
The role of the Client Executive is to direct and deliver quality information technology services onsite at the client hospital facility; IT services include infrastructure implementation and support, desktop services, and operations. Under the direction of the hospital CIO, this position will be accountable for project planning and day to day management of the technical IT resources and infrastructure architecture necessary to meet strategic goals, objectives and business plans for the health care system. Develop and sustain high levels of client satisfaction and strong client relationships thorough identifying and addressing client needs.
Note: Strong specific experience managing an IS Department (HIT) in hospital /acute care environment is an absolute must have to be considered - this is a critical and important role.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management support of technical operations, technical strategic planning, and implementation of value add technologies
Develop, manage, and monitor IT financials for assigned site and monitor service level agreements, projects, requests and incidents to ensure compliance with technology management practices
Develop and sustain high levels of client satisfaction and strong client relationships thorough identifying and addressing client needs
Guide task order development processes for implementation of new or enhanced technical services and solutions ensuring execution meets the site?s requirements
Responsible for adherence to business policies, practices, and operational processes
Serve as the organization's liaison for all communications regarding on-going stability and quality of technical services provided
Accountable for providing input on strategy and architecture, delivery, support and process re-engineering of all computing infrastructure for the healthcare system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Proven technical skills with a broad knowledge of all areas including operations, infrastructure, disaster recovery and contingency planning
In-depth understanding of emerging technologies and the strategies of competitors
Excellent organizational, communication, customer service and technical skills as well as the ability to work with multiple teams and individuals up and down the organization
Proficient in the design and use of information systems and analytics to generate and drive data analysis that quantify and improve the quality and efficiency of care
Ability to negotiate with vendor and engage vendor relations which includes contract review
Intellectual savvy in IT Operations/ Infrastructure
Working knowledge of clinical systems, supporting IT functions, infrastructure trends and capabilities
High degree of professionalism and ability to appropriately respond in a fast paced, demanding environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
A Master degree in Health/Hospital Administration, Public Health, or a related field is highly desirable
5 to 7 years of experience managing an IS Department in a hospital environment
3 years of acute care hospital experience, or equivalent experience supporting acute care hospitals
Customer relationship management experience with C-level executives
Experience managing a large organization (10+ employees)
IT Project Management experience for mid to large scale projects
Experience in developing and monitoring IT operating budget greater than $1M
