Lead 1040 Accountant / Tax Preparer Job Opening in Lancaster, Pennsylvania - Landis & Associates, LLC is currently seeking an experienced tax preparer to join our fast growing team. This accountant will lead our 1040 department, serving our non-business clients and providing guidance for seasonal tax preparers. This position is full-time during tax season and part-time for the remainder of the year with flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely from home. The ideal client will be an extremely tech savvy, experienced tax preparer with fluency in UltraTax.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 4 years preparing 1040 tax returns (required)
Proficient in UltraTax (preferred but not required)
Skills:
Proficiency in basic computer skills (required)
Outstanding customer service skills to communicate directly with clients on a regular basis
Able to prioritize responsibilities and maintain a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Detail oriented with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy
Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Responsibilities:
Prepare individual tax returns within practice standard time lines while providing five-star customer service to our clients
Provide mentoring and guidance to seasonal tax preparers
Become primary point of contact for tax related software systems
Lead many individual tax related projects as assigned
