Quoting/Sales Support Job Opening in Marion, Iowa - Timberline Manufacturing in Marion, IA is growing and looking for an additional Quoting/Sales Support professional to join our team. Purpose: Assist in the development of new product quotes and provide customer service and support as needed.
Context: This position reports to the Internal Sales Manager and works closely with all sales and engineering, as well as distributors and OEM suppliers.
Principal Accountabilities:
Assist sales in creating accurate quotes by performing research and administrative tasks (e.g. entering BOM?s, crossing over part numbers, getting component quotes).
Manage large quote projects and applying real-world knowledge to drawings
Conduct negotiations with customers and suppliers, while maintaining financial responsibility for profitability
Maintain BOM?s as needed to maintain on-going accuracy.
Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to customer inquiries.
Specific Accountabilities:
Accurately interpret customer specifications such as drawings, bills of material, and standards.
Work with sales and engineering to determine tooling and processes required for product.
Work with vendors to achieve best pricing, quality, and delivery guarantees for materials.
Outline quote based on process analysis and materials pricing.
Perform data entry and creation of electronic part record in ERP.
Maintain part record in ERP when changes are made.
Track customer communication and ensure responses are accurate and timely.
Skills and experience:
Required:
Strong office computing skills.
Experience using an ERP software package.
Interpersonal communication and customer care skills.
Preferred:
Ability to analyze technical drawings.
Previous electrical quoting and inside sales.
