Patient Account Representative Job Opening in Murfreesboro, Tennessee - JourneyPure is currently seeking a Patient Account Representative who can provide outstanding client service and care with compassion and discretion. Our ideal candidate will; go the extra mile, be a team player, have prior medical experience, must be a detailed oriented individual with a strong health insurance background. The Patient Account Representative works collaboratively with others to resolve questions or concerns which enables the facilities to fulfill their mission by providing patient safety and patient-centered treatment. This is an immediate opportunity.
Position Requirements:
Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes.
Process payments from insurance companies.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Ensure healthcare facilities are reimbursed for all procedures.
Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper coding.
Follow up to see if a claim is accepted or denied.
Investigate rejected claim to see why denial was issued.
May enter charge information when appropriate.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Attitude demonstrates a positive approach and commitment reflecting professionalism and ethical standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Maintains and complies with HIPAA, best practices and internal controls.
Manages assigned patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner, meeting departmental productivity requirements.
Demonstrates knowledge of billing, collections, financial classes and payor sources.
Adheres to federal, regional, state, local and contractual regulatory requirements.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
MS Office experience, proficient in computer skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, ability to take direction from others.
3-5 years? experience in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated good judgment and decision making skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
MUST go through a background check and drug test.
Experience:
Appeals: 3 years
Substance Abuse Billing: 3 years
Collections: 3 years
TN Care experience a plus
