KEY CHARACTER QUALITIES: - Enjoy leading a team - Cool headed in tough situations - Positive attitude - Entrepreneurial spirit/mindset - Direct, honest communication style - Loves telling a good story - Knack for listening and asking good questions PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Store Manager plays a critical role within the TreeHouse organization, having primary responsibility for overseeing store operations, driving sales, and developing the skill level, talent and impact of all employees who report directly to him/her. As a member of the leadership team, you will accomplish the following: Work with the leadership team to oversee store operations and employees Quickly establish relationships with the employees and customers to drive store sales Is a product knowledge expert in all areas of the store Assist in selecting building products consistent with the Company?s mission Assist in the analysis and monitoring of sales records, trends and economic conditions to anticipate buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed. Desired Skills & Experience Education BA or BS degree preferred Experience Experience launching and overseeing retail stores, managing complex projects and overseeing staff. Experience in the home improvement, hardware, or building supply sector. Direct involvement in sustainable building. Skills Possesses strong selling skills, including anticipating the needs of customers and implementing the appropriate action or solution. Takes pride in being a product knowledge expert and thinking creatively about uses for our products to accomplish solution-based selling. Is dedicated to learning from others, constantly shares information and asks questions. Has a desire to lead by example with a grace of authority, embracing and adapting to change and maintaining respect, dignity and compassion. Able to work well on a team, flexible, adaptable within the start-up context. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) TREEHOUSE OVERVIEW: TreeHouse is a first-of-its kind store that offers smart building materials, while providing education on how these products can save customers money, create healthy living spaces, and are better for the environment.
