Summer Program Coordinator & Tutors Wanted Job Opening in chicago, Illinois - Summer Program Coordinator & Tutors Wanted Einstein Educators Inc is looking for an enthusiastic summer program coordinator & tutors. PROGRAM COORDINATOR The responsibilities will include: Implementing a set math & reading curriculum at the 1st grade level. Ability to add to and modify the curriculum as needed. Creating materials for the children for lessons as needed Ability to think on his/her feet & deal promptly w/any issues or program glitches Opening and closing the facility and ensuring all things are properly stored. He/she should be comfortable working with children of various backgrounds & various academic levels. He/she should be able to make this a fun enjoyable experience for students, teacher & parents. The candidate should have excellent classroom time management & communication skills. He/she should be able to keep accurate records and communicate effective w/the regional director. Certified teachers are strongly preferred but students w/an education background working towards certification will be considered depending upon experience. Program begins on June 21st and ends on July 28th. It will run 3 days a week Tues-Thursday, 9am-12 noon and will take place in the Morton Grove, IL. area. Only candidate who can make this commitment need apply. $ 25-28 an hour, depending on experience. TUTORS The tutor's main responsibilities will include conducting hour long tutoring sessions. Other responsibilities include reporting to the regional directors and keeping a record of appropriate paper work as requested. The perfect candidate must possess great charisma, be a self starter, have a love for children and be a "people person." The perfect candidate must have a degree in education (early childhood, elementary, secondary, special ed) Teaching experience is highly preferred but not necessary. Teachers "on a break" are encouraged to /she must be willing to travel to the various suburbs (i.e. Morton Grove, Des Plaines, Skokie and surrounding areas). He/she must have a dependable care and be extremely organized and reliable. The tutor should be able to work evenings and weekends. This is a year round position.
