Project Manager Job Opening in Madison, Wisconsin - Our client is seeking a Project Manager to manage infrastructure, development, & security projects. Ideal candidates will have experience managing & organizing cross team projects. Experience & comfort in agile environments is needed but to be successful you must be able to be flexible and not 100% focused on following agile if a hybrid approach makes more sense.
Responsibilities
Focus on operational, tactical and strategic initiatives
Create and manage project plan(s) using MS Office Suite and MS Project
Coordinate work performed and be a point of contact to other teams and management
Provide status reports to stakeholders and end users
Provide leadership, oversight, control and direction to all team members
Provide open channels of communication within the team, other impacted teams and stakeholders
Maintain established service level agreements (SLA) to manage customer expectations and quality standards
Manage work backlog(s) through Jira epics and stories
Define and document repeatable processes, standards and procedures to ensure our products are following best practices and remain in compliance.
Work with the leadership team to prioritize and schedule ongoing tactical work
Requirements
Must have at least 5 years of experience managing concurrent web application development and infrastructure projects in a large scale IT environment
Must be a motivated, self-starter that can work independently and recognize the need to escalate when appropriate
Must have experience in communicating, managing, planning, directing, coordinating, organizing, controlling, and reporting on concurrent projects
Must have experience in gathering and documenting all business requirements
Must demonstrate superb relationship management skills, specifically around managing conflict and resistance to change with the ability to create a positive atmosphere and be viewed as a partner
Must possess exceptional communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively convey complex information in a manner that is easily understood and actionable to all levels of the organization.
Must demonstrate flexibility and agility related to critical thinking and making decisions with complex considerations as it relates to business implications.
Must be a positive change agent with the ability to influence business decisions and constructively challenge prevailing thoughts and processes.
Must have experience with all SDLC (software development lifecycle) phases with Web Application development.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including MS Project
Must have strong multi-tasking and time management skills
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Experience with Agile development practices and corresponding tools like Jira
Bachelor's degree in Computer related field preferred
