Utilization Review/Infection Control Registered Nurse (RN) Job Opening in Olathe, Kansas - Job Summary
This job is a combination of utilization review and infection control. The utilization review/infection control registered nurse (RN) is required to ensure that patients get the right treatment from the resources that are available in the hospital by formulating a treatment plan, after reviewing the condition of the patient, the doctor?s orders, and insurance or money available. They are also required to plan, develop, direct, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control activities within the hospital. The RN is directly responsible for ensuring that all staff under their supervision comply with the hospital mission and provide good customer service, including ?staying in character? with all patients, their families, and co-workers. .
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Current state registered nursing license
Associate or Bachelor?s degree in Nursing
One or more years of experience in an inpatient healthcare environment, preferably in behavioral health
One or more years of experience in utilization review and/or infection control in an inpatient healthcare environment

This is a supervisory position. Employee is required to handle employees in a manner that assists them in their ability to function effectively.
Must be knowledgeable of and follow the Nurse Practice Act as well as all state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Must have the skills to plan, organize, prioritize, problem solve, and make decisions that are necessary for providing quality patient care.
