Events Coordinator Job Opening in Colusa, California - Job Function:
Will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing and deploying community engaging activities & events for all ages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides supportive research, coordinates and assists with planned activities, events, workshops for Tribal community.
Coordinates outreach and assists to encourage and sustain positive relationships in the Tribal community.
Implements methods to improve and maintain effective communication via newsletters, flyers, personal contacts, incentive programs, environmental boosters, etc.
Works in conjunction with the Tribal Healthcare Program Coordinator, Education Department and Tribal Counselors, for planned services, events, activities, workshops or other efforts on behalf of the community.
Assists to design the outreach and promotion approach to effectively involve the community in the activities of the department.
Attends and participates in professional conferences and workshops to enhance position related efficiency and knowledge.
Ability to plan itineraries and arrange travel accommodations.
Maintains high confidentiality standards at all times. Is required to sign a confidentiality statement upon acceptance of employment.
All other duties as assigned.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
PC knowledge.
Proficient in MS Office
Must abide by the policies set forth by the Colusa Indian Community Council.
Provide transportation when necessary.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The noise level is usually moderate.
Able to handle stress and remain calm.
May be required to travel.
Licensing Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age.
Valid California Driver?s License and must provide DVM printout.
Current CPR/1st aid certification.
