Job description: Jr. Data Developer
The Junior Data Developer position at Arkatechture plays an integral role on the development team bringing fresh new perspective to our engineering practices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about new and emerging technologies and is interested in the ever evolving data space. Must have Problem solving skills, excellent communication skills and should be a Team player. As a junior developer on our team, we expect the person who fills this role to have at-least one year of experience in the job requirements below and be willing to quickly ramp up on new technologies and business domains.
Responsibilities
Communicating with both technical and non-technical collaborators
Developing, Testing and delivering solutions to clients and internal projects
Working with Senior Developers on the team for On time code reviews
Understanding requirements and making sure developed solution is functional and usable
Write and execute Unit Tests
Documentation of work completed using Confluence or a client chosen tool
Provide clear, accurate, timely, and 100% transparency to status of Tasks
Follow and contribute to Engineering and Coding Best practices
Production and Test System Support as required for Client and Internal projects
Continuously nurture your skills, knowledge, talents, expertise, passion, and will to exceed the needs of team and company
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major
Experience with SQL
Exposure to databases or file systems like MySQL, SQLServer, Access, DB2, Teradata, Oracle or any other Relational Database
Experience in Data warehouse and BI Implementations
Exposure to at least one ETL tool like Informatica, Talend, Datastage, SSIS, Cognos, Pentaho etc
A strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies such as Agile/Waterfall
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
Nice to haves
Exposure to Business Tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Qlikview, Power BI, Birst etc
Familiarity with task management and wiki systems such as JIRA/Confluence
Cloud experience, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google cloud platform
Love data and showing others the power it holds
Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical collaborators
