Vice President, Finance Job Opening in Wichita Falls, Texas - The VP of Finance is responsible for designing, implementing, directing, and managing the fiscal functions of WSC in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and other regulatory and advisory organizations, and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate with the industry.

The VP of Finance will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, manage, and evaluate WSC?s fiscal function and performance, ensuring timely and accurate budget analysis and financial review for the Board of Directors, other senior executives, and management; Participates in the development of WSC?s plans and programs as a strategic partner; Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting WSC (i.e., evaluation of acquisitions, pension funds, and investments); Develops credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to assist the CEO / President, the Board of Directors, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities; Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships, and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position; Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline; Establishes financial reporting systems and controls to ensure compliance with WSC?s expenditure requirements; Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets; Designs and implements policies and procedures for financial effectiveness; Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which WSC may enter; Builds, develops, and manages the finance team capable of carrying out needed initiatives; Evaluates the financial office structure planning for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the team as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with an emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals; Conducts internal audits as required; Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance functions. This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the department.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the frequent use of hands to finger, and reach with hands and arms is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. Longer hours, evenings, and weekend work will be necessary as required. This position requires the ability to travel to satellite locations and / or conferences. Some overnight is required.
Required Education and Experience : BS / BA degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, plus a minimum of five (5) years? recent, relevant work experience in a corporate finance setting, plus two (2) years? supervisory experience.
Preferred Education and Experience : Master?s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration; CMA or CPA; Greater than one (1) years recent experience dealing with a budget of $20-$50 million in an organization with multiple lines of business. Valid Driver?s License with certificate of insurability (corporate auto policy); NACI Military background check; Drug Screen.
Salary: $76,356 - $102,747 annual; Higher wage may be offered depending on credentials and / or experience, plus benefits to include Medical, Dental, Vacation, Sick Leave, paid Holidays, and 401(k).
