Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant, under minimal supervision, performs more complex accounting work for multiple legal entities for the consolidated entity headquartered in Austin, TX. This position prepares financial statements and reconciles ledger accounts, which require a detailed knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts. In this role you would assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs in areas of specialization and advise management and employees on complex issues in areas of expertise. The Senior Accountant also assists customers and other constituents.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Under minimal supervision, performs more complex general accounting work for multiple legal entities
Prepares journal entries and balance sheet statements,and reconciles ledger accounts requiring a detailed knowledge of fundamental and advance accounting concepts
Plans, conducts, and may supervise complex assignments in areas of specialization within the division
Applies detailed knowledge of fundamental advanced concepts and practices in areas of specialization
Communicates with management and employees regarding complex issues in areas of specialization.
Explains and interprets policies, procedures, and practices
Recommends solutions to a variety of issues and assists other departments and constituents
Assists in the development of new or revised policies, procedures, and programs by performing research and analysis and developing and presenting recommendations
Stays abreast of current trends and practices in areas of specializtion
May provide work direction to assigned lower level personnel and assist in the review and evaluation of assigned personnel
Performs other duties as directed
We are seeking candidates who can show they possess the following qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Fluent in English
MS Office, advanced Excel (v-lookup, Pivot-tables, subtotals)
Strong problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment, without the need for close supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, processes and instructions
A quick learner ? and motivated to excel in this position
Ability to think outside of the box
Experience with SalesForce and FinancialForce Accounting preferred, but not required
University Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Three to five years of directly related accounting experience
Detailed knowledge of accounting theories and practices in area of responsibility
