As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key part of our technology team to help design and build the digital platform for the smart home of the future, Kasita. You will work with experienced software engineers in an agile environment and be challenged daily. In this role, you?ll work collaboratively with software engineering to develop, deploy and operate our systems; help automate and streamline our operations and processes; build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations; and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments. RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside system architects and software engineers to design and develop our initial infrastructure
Drives continuous operational improvement - design, security, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies
Designing infrastructure that meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility
Deployment and management of software products through production
Support of local and remote infrastructure
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years of technology experience in one or more established companies
Bachelor degree preferred
Proficiency in Bash, Python and SQL, with experience in Go, C or Javascript a plus
Experience in deploying and managing systems in AWS with proficiency in S3, Route53, CloudFront, CloudFormation and IAM
Proficiency in using AWS tools and services including, but not limited to, ECS, ECR, RDS, EC2, ALB/ELB, VPCs and Subnets, and Security Groups
Experience architecting and implementing infrastructure solutions integrated with continuous integration and continuous deployment
Experience with app deployment on Ubuntu
Experience working in an Agile (Kanban) development environment
Interest in smart home platforms and devices (e.g. Amazon Echo, Nest, Sonos, Philips Hue) a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
