We?re looking to add a Software Engineer to our team in Irving. We are looking for someone who is excited about contributing and influencing change through innovative ideas and insights. This key role will assist in maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy & roadmap for Advertising and Data Products.
The environment will be a deadline-driven, data intensive environment. The ideal candidate should be excited about data visualizations and should not be intimidated by working with large volumes of information.
Requirements:
At least 3 years? experience in Java development, testing, tuning & support
Experience with all aspects of data systems
3-5 years development experience
1-2 years of project leadership
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic.
Strong object oriented skills
Full understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and SOAP Web Services
2 years? experience using profiling tools
Full understanding of best practices of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Understands special considerations when building REST services for AJAX clients, such as CORS, XSRF, caching
Guide and contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance
Strong database experience with SQL and mySQL
Working knowledge of core libraries, design patterns
Assist in maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy & roadmap
Experience working with Agile Methodology
BS or MS in Computer Science -- or equivalent work experience
Helpful:
Experience developing applications on Big Data platforms (specifically Hadoop)
Familiarity with AWS based java applications, deployment and maintenance
Full understanding of REST architecture principals and JAX-RS specification
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns

Assists in developing technical / functional specifications and documentation
Assists in investigating new technologies
Maintains existing systems along with optimizing where needed
Participates in a team on a rapid, agile development schedule
Completes various ad-hoc requests on an as needed basis
