Position Summary Native Trails is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to be responsible for planning, organizing and directing sales activities to maximize sales and profits within the defined region. The defined region consists of areas east of the Mississippi and includes the Texas marketplace for the U.S. and Eastern Canada. The Regional Sales Manager will develop and maintain an effective sales department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of sales representative staff. Additionally, provide guidance and direction to sales personnel to assist them in their professional development.
Responsibilities include:
Develops, implements, and analyzes sales programs and makes necessary adjustments as required.
Establishes and implements sales goals within management guidelines.
Reviews the general business climate and adjusts materials as needed.
Understands and supports established sales policies and procedures to ensure sales personnel provide proper and effective treatment to customers.
Applies knowledge of company products and services to assist sales representatives with providing quality customer service.
Reviews and approves expenses requested by sales representatives.
Reviews and resolves customer complaints in a professional and timely manner as directed and/or required.
Establishes, develops and monitors field sales representative organization within the defined region.
Represents Company at trade shows as required.
Travels to customer locations to complete sales calls as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the plumbing/decorative wholesale industry.
Work experience should have extensive background working with Manufactures Representatives.
Strategic thinker and team player.
Background in working with helpful.
Possesses analytical, strategic, business planning, communication, and skills.
Expert abilities with MS Office.
Candidate should be based in the Eastern U.S.A. currently or be able to relocate.
Ability to frequently travel throughout the region. Estimated 50%-60% travel.
