WHAT IS THE JOB?
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of accounting and monthly financial statement preparation for certain entities affiliated with the Company, including, but
not limited to, the external advisor and broker-dealer entities.
Preparation and maintenance of supporting documentation, detail general ledger, financial statements, balance sheet analyses, journal entries, and other supporting schedules and
calculations.
Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of bank reconciliations.
Responsible for the consummation and recordation of cash transfers and other Treasury management functions.
Responsible for intercompany reconciliations and reimbursements.
Assistance with AR and related fee revenue process, including calculation of fees earned, coding of AR and timely reconciliation of related cash deposits.
Assistance with AP process, including coding, reviewing, and approving disbursements and expense reimbursements.
Additional tasks and special projects responsibilities, as available and/or required by business needs.
WHAT SKILLS ARE REQUIRED
Full cycle accounting experience from transactions to Financial Reporting.
Experienced, quality-driven professional who balances grit in completing routine tasks with the confidence to offer proactive solutions, effectively interpret/analyze data and interface with internal (various ) and external (auditors, etc.) parties
Minimum of six (6) years? experience, in challenging and meaningful Accounting role(s)
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field; US GAAP
Strong working knowledge of Excel and GL
Hands-on, organized, proactive; willingness and capability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, under competing demands, and produce quality results
Dynamic, with bias for action and continuous learning (as a ?teacher? and a ?student?)
Solid integrity and work ethic and desire to achieve excellence
Advisor/Sponsor experience (a plus, not required)
FINRA and SEC Broker/dealer experience (a plus, not required)
Yardi property management software (a plus, not required)
